Day 8 arrived, and Doug and I headed out for a quick run before showering, noshing and heading out with Brock, Sarah and Chef Emma to market.
Always a fresh wonderful spread:
It was a quick ride into town to the Narbonne market.
Had to get a pic of the guys repping GA:
Thinking of Caroline with her love of chocolate croissants:
Fresh local olives:
Picking out what seafood and meat and vegetables we'd like the chef to prepare:
Fromage:
After the market we drove to a fabulous restaurant for lunch:
Sea bream ceviche served in the fish was incredible:
Deviled eggs with caviar:
It looks like it's just lettuce, but IT WAS FABULOUS!
Mushrooms in wine (Spanish)
Fresh burrata topped with local olive oil:
Peach gelato with a peach/nectarine cold soup was TO DIE FOR:
All local organic or biodynamic wines:
We're now back on the boat and heading out to the next port/marina which is supposed to be very rustic/quiet. It's a 2 hour ride. Aperol spritz's were awaiting our arrival, so we are happy. Some doing some business and catching up and others just peacefully enjoying the ride/scenery. Life is good.
Brock got in some "pilot" time earlier in the day:
